The Method

Pilates is a system of exercise focused on control with motion. Founded by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900’s, the system of exercise has been trialled and tested throughout the world and is proven in its efficacy. With advances in understanding of movement and function, the Pilates Method has progressed. When combined with a thorough assessment with a Physiotherapist and subsequent individualized exercise prescription, Pilates becomes a very effective tool in improving movement health and function.

At Focus Physio & Pilates, both Mat and Studio based Pilates are offered for all levels. The latter involves specialized Pilates equipment and a more individualized approach.
Private studio tuition is also available.
